Step one
Can the offer answer four plain questions?
A real care offer does not need mystery. The first pass is simple: what is it, who decides, who fills it and what happens next?

Ask before sharing payment details
Start with the exact medicine or service. Then ask who reviews your health history and who can answer a follow-up question.
If medicine may be sent, ask for the pharmacy name before care begins. The FDA notes that people using online medicine made to order may not know which pharmacy made it.
- What is the exact ingredient, brand and form?
- Who makes the medical decision?
- Which pharmacy makes and sends the medicine?
- Who answers questions after it arrives?
Clear care leaves a trail
A direct reply gives a person, a place and a next step. A weak reply keeps changing the subject.
Guidance written as a model for state medical boards says a fixed form is not enough when nobody can ask follow-up questions or gather missing health history. The model is advice for state boards, not a law by itself; each state sets the rule that applies there.
- Good: the medical professional’s full name and the state where that person is licensed.
- Good: a pharmacy name that appears in the state record.
- Pause: pressure to pay before either name is shared.
